Question Why do I get a blank page?
Answer From a conversation with Sergiu Dumitriu at #XWiki IRC channel

Any URL containing %2F (forward slash) is blocked. That is a Tomcat security feature. They said that forward slash was a cause for many security bugs in poorly designed applications.

Is this FAQ to be believed? All URLs which refer to sub-directories contain one or more forward slashes (/) aka a solidus or virgule. The default page when installing XWiki is http://localhost:8180/xwiki (Linux) or http://localhost:8080/xwiki (Windows). At a very minimum this FAQ answer requires explanation. If this answer is correct how can any page be accessed?

Does anyone have a link to a documented fix to this for Tomcat v 6.x?
